The only Victorian Steampunk-themed grid-wide hunt in SecondLife is produced by Historical Hunts. This is our 11th year contributing and this year we’re stop 82!
We usually do a mini-hunt: this one features lovely, pirate themed props and accessories!
We have eight gifts staged throughout our Pirate Lair (created exclusively for this hunt!) on the skylevel of NeoVictoria SIM.
Our skylevel is always out-of-character (OOC), so hunters won’t disrupt the roleplay.

In NeoVictoria, we do free-form roleplay. This means there is no script; scenes evolve out of real-time character interactions. Dark roleplay means characters may act in aggressive, predatory, criminal, and plain uncomfortable ways.
We use a simple dice-based wearable HUD called the NeoVictoria Roleplay Tool; avatars must wear this to see the roleplay chat. The item is free and available in our Visitor Center and various locations on our out-of-character SkyMall.
Players don’t have to be a member of our group to roleplay here; we ask newcomers to take a tour of the Visitor Center in NeoVictoria SIM to learn about the storyworld before joining in the roleplay. [Observer tags are also available for players who want to visit the land level, but not roleplay.]
Best contest yet!

Fantasy Faire is Second Life’s largest gathering of fantasy designers, enthusiasts and performers. It is eighteen day of commerce, special events, music and fundraising in sixteen SIMs created specifically for this event. Proceeds go to the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life” fundraising effort. Last year’s Fantasy Faire raised more than US$60,000!
We are Stronger Together
This is the NeoVictoria Project’s seventh year sponsoring the faire; this year, we’re sponsoring the Queensgarden SIM, which is the location for the quest!
These are out-of-character events where players from the NeoVictoria community will be available to discuss the project, the story-world and how to get involved. [There will even be a stage where folks can practice role-playing!]
The NeoVictoria Project invites all citizens and wanderers of the Fairelands to join us for our Meet-and-Greet in our fabulous space on the Auxentios’ Pass SIM.
We’ll be chatting with folks about the storyworld, what it’s like to roleplay in NeoVictoria, and how to get involved. These events are Out-of-Character (OOC), so no pressure to roleplay! Also, gifts.
In roleplay, possibilities are endless and the purpose of this class is to explore gender expression and playing both within and outside of the players’ gender identity.
Please join us for an out-of-character town hall tomorrow! We’ll be discussing the coming year and the state of the project. We are holding two townhalls, so that EU and American folks can represent.
