On the skylevel of NeoVictoria SIM is our out-of-character (OOC) Visitor Center. This self-paced walking tour explains the Neo-verse and guides players through different aspects of the project, including the history of the storyworld, the races available for play, how to build the avatar, and teleporters to take avatars to the land level (our roleplay zone). The Visitor Center also has an abundance of role-play related gifts, as well as the givers for our RP HUD.

The only Victorian Steampunk-themed grid-wide hunt in SecondLife is produced by Historical Hunts.  This is our eighth year contributing and this year we’re stop 40.

We always do a mini-hunt: this one features lovely mesh accessories.

It’s a Mini-Hunt with Five Gifts Inspired by the Sea!

Steam 11: Realms of the Deep

The only Victorian Steampunk-themed grid-wide hunt in SecondLife is produced by Historical Hunts.  Voted the BEST GRID-WIDE HUNT (STEAM X) and BEST HUNT ORGANIZER in this year’s HUNTIES Awards, this is our sixth year contributing, and this year we’re stop 70.

We always do a mini-hunt: this one may be the most amusing ever!

A New Roleplay Tool!

Since April 2013, we’ve used a roleplay tool, created by jade2022 kaligawa.  It was a wonderful tool-set when we transitioned away from the Community Combat System (CCS), and really helped the project to thrive.  However, in  April 2015, the developer had to take their personal server off-line; the loss of the server meant some of the admin functions stopped working.  It became clear a tool that worked entirely within SL was needed.

Announcing the NeoVictoria Roleplay Tool (NRT)!

We’ve developed a simple free wearable object called the “NeoVictoria Roleplay Tool (NRT)” which allows the player to create unique names for their characters, offers chat-options in terms of what other players can see when that character speaks, and includes a variety of dice.

This tool was developed by the members of the NeoVictoria Roleplay Group and scripted by Jhaesoph Foxdale.  The object is copy/transfer, and may be acquired by touching the many giver-objects we have staged throughout the Skymall on Machinima SIM, and the Visitor Center on NeoVictoria SIM.

Every year, we do a commemorative calendar for the Steam Hunt that fits its theme. This year’s is packed with dreamy images from our Steampunk storyworld.
This mesmerizing prop contains a simple meditation sit, perfect for the conjurer, dreaming worlds.
Magical traps to keep the fae at bay; one for the Sidhe, one for the Nyx and one for the Loam. The trick is getting them into the traps …but that is for you to roleplay.

In the NeoVictoria storyworld, magic and technology come together to serve the needs of the citizenry. Rather than harnessing the powers of oil or the atom, they have devised a way to capture the essence of a creature (some might call it the spirit or soul) to use as an energy source.
Here in this covered seat, a captive soul within a crystal container is used to make light in the covering above the seat.
Welcome to the NeoVictoria Steam X Drinking and Toast HUD! This device was initially made as a roleplay aid, but can also be used to easily animate your avatar while holding unscripted drinks!  Includes an unscripted, modifiable mesh wine glass!

NeoVictoria is doing the Sinister Steampunk Hunt 4: Supernatural Steampunk Villains

This is the fourth year for this wonderful grid-wide hunt produced by Emedea Morgenstern of Rag Dollz fame. The theme is Supernatural Steampunk Villains.  The hunt is active until 31 October 2014.

When guests are a pest, it can be helpful to have a convenient way to corral them; enter this rune-based stasis prison. An elegant roleplay prop.

Our Gifts

Because NeoVictoria’s land-level is only for in-character (IC) interactions, so we’re doing the hunt in our Visitor Center on our out-of-character (OOC) skymall. We are doing a mini-hunt; there are two prizes and all the gift gears are located in the domed buildings that are part of our Visitor Center.

To reach the first gift-gear, from our rezz-in point, please take the teleporter to the Visitor Center.  Simply touch the sign that says “Visitor Center” and a teleporter beam will appear. Right-click on this, then choose transport from the resulting menu.
